About the competition

A track for everyone -
challenges for the best

RoboCup.dk is a competition in the classic robotics discipline of line following. A robot must navigate through a course and solve various obstacles to earn points. Everything must happen autonomously without human intervention.

The track is designed so there is something for everyone. Simple robots can easily participate by following the colored lines and scoring points through the course's gates, but to get all the points, a more advanced robot is required. A robot that is both fast and precise and masters shooting balls into goals.

It is entirely up to the participants to decide what their robot looks like and how it solves the tasks.

The competition is a continuation of the former DTU RoboCup. We recommend visiting the site or searching YouTube for "DTU RoboCup" for inspiration from previous participants' robots.

Start simple
Build a stable line follower and reach the finish safely. For each green gate the robot passes along the way, 1 point is awarded.

Navigation
If the robot can navigate on both white and black lines and handle intersections and branches, extra points can be earned.

Mechanics
Teams challenging themselves by building a more advanced mechanical robot can score points by shooting balls into goals or passing through an elevated gate on a podium.

Advanced sensors
Robots with advanced sensors and complex algorithms can score extra points by moving off the lines through freestanding gates or tackling the fitness obstacle where speed and precision are crucial.
